Fig and TreeUpdated: August 8th, 2020
Created: July 8th, 2016I stole a twig from an overhanging tree in Calstock last spring. It took well and even produced a few small fig buds to my surprise. I had heard that stress can force a plant to procreate but from a cutting in first year? Anyway this year the four buds have grown to figs and I picked the one really ripe one. It has been soft with a slight red tint for some four or five days. I'd been away for a couple of days and it had not been eaten by slug, snail, mouse, avian, wasp or deer.
