There are six beds of some 6 x 1.45m within a fenced area, largely for beans and brassicas and up to 10 more 'outer' beds vulnerable to 'pests'. Six to the west of the fenced area and two above and below it. There is also two smaller beds used for a few potatoes and a few raspberry canes further west betwixt the two pear trees.
Six of the outer beds are those to the west of the fenced are and currently are planted as follows. Bed numbers are from north to south. Each bed is further divided mostly north and south
- North row of broad beans with a spare patch to the west. South of that is mostly bare with some old kale from last year
- North again has three rows of broad beans with an area prepared for maize to the west. South of the beans are a row of peas and to the south of the peas are a row of carrots and then lettuce. There is also a small bed of Broccoli and Brussels sprouts as a starting bed.
- The third bed is partly prepared for more maize, the rest of the bed is under bio-mulch or plastic.
- This bed is for wheat though it's a bit scratchy given how 'pests' ate and disturbed the seed.
- October 11th: Sown three rows of wheat.
- October 22nd: Sown 60 soaked broad beans
