Well not sure about cultivating spices, so will start with herbs.
Ginger and Turmeric haven't survived a year ~ yet
Basil
Unlike the rest this is an annual and a single pot seems to suffice. It is the most used, along with oregano in tomato sauce.
Oregano : Marjoram
I think I have 'wild marjoram'
oreganum vulgare not the 'sweet marjoram'
oreganum marjorana.
I have a main bush with some offshoots here and there.
Each are in the Origanum genus, but marjoram’s specific species and milder flavour set it apart. In fact, marjoram is sometimes called “sweet marjoram,” while oregano is considered the more robust “wild marjoram.”

Mint
There are a few mints but I don't use them hardly at all. Peppermint, Spearmint and Marsh mint/
It is worth noting that Oregano is a part of the mint family
Sage
One bush has been around for well over a decade and probably time I started a new one, it getting a bit weeded out.
Rosemary
Well the first one I had did grow fro a few years and I passed on a cutting, to Mariam.
My second rosemary died in the first year and in Feb 2026, a small cutting in a pot mariam gave me died when I went away for 2-3 days. It may have been too wet and the temp dropped to 5°C although it was indoors.
