Mobiles and Internet

The 3 bars thing isn't quite sensible as it depends very much on the phone. Some of the more modern ones use weaker signals as it saves battery power and they are expected to be used in towns mostly. Older phones were better when they had more power part due to there being fewer masts. Weather i always an issue when signal strength is not at it's best.

Anyway I've just been to your caravan with two phones and called you from each, so you will have two missed calls. I only had one bar on my old phone and none on my newer one, which, unsurprisingly didn't do well connecting to BBC weather.

Things can be improved with an extended aerial but I've never bothered doing it.

The question is why in the short term is it so important? I've just been shown your website and noted your animal orientated products, beehives and wool rugs for example, something neither I nor the trust would support. So if one of your reasons to be on-line was to continue such then I would consider it inappropriate and unacceptable.

Here may be a good place to clarify the vegan views.
None of the founders were concerned about any health benefits of an exclusively plant based diet, nor were any overly concerned about the welfare of animals.

The idea is to avoid the use of animals as they are not intelligent enough to argue any co-operative intimacy and so all use is to be avoided.

It's acknowledged that animals are a part of the environment, but the only dealing with them is as wild or free animals. So their incidental by products are dealt with without any special thought. There is no intention of collecting pigeon poo for example. The collection of sheep wool, which anyway comes from domesticated animals is equally not a resource. Nor is it fitting to build barns for cows, shed for hens or hives for bees.

The original trust document doesn't go into detail as we were all vegan for many years, educated our kids at home and saw each other almost daily.

It now seems important to update the trust document to reflect these views as once we are dead and gone who knows what interpretation may be used.

I have put the trust document on the blog for discussion at https://calstock.org.uk/elf.php/2013/08/21/aims-objects

I'll make sure you have access to it and can comment
