Small Seed Frames

Small seeds are more vulnerable in some ways than larger ones that can be sown individually and protected by jars etc.

So far I have three areas, that use one of two wooden frame which I cover with glass to stop birds pecking for seeds.


1. The first was/is in bed WS1 (later)
First frame with carrots and lettuce.
May ## Transplanted many lettuce to southern bed in the brassica area
2. The second in the Fenced in area
Brasiccas

May 29th Have transplanted the seedlings as they were being eaten.

3. The third in the fenced in area. From top to bottom (north to south)

  • · Flowers: Ecchinaesia | Morning Glory | Sweet Peas

Frame 2 has been dismantled and the seedlings transplanted and the frame is being moved to the east of Frame 3 and is now Frame 4
