I find it almost impossible to imagine a sustainable future for biology in the case of homo sapiens. Since 'we' have increased our dominance through the use of tools and fear to develop increasingly powerful tribes there is the fantasy that somehow homo sapiens could become humane. The word human is often used to denote a persons inability to be humane, "after all they are only human" and by inference fallible.
The word human is touted as laws created to remind us of this aspiration rather than to encourage conformity in an ever increasingly planned future. A future where the tools of technology are becoming the landmark of success.
So distant are homo sapiens from the un-tooled animal it is debatable, ever so slightly, if a single person or a tribe could survive without tools to enhance the exploitation of environmental resources ~ I would argue it is so close to zero that it can be ignored and termed impossible and definitely so for the majority of homo sapiens 99.99+%.
So I come to my current situation where I am the sole active beneficiary of some 40 acres of land held in trust by me and others, those others who like me are in the 99.99+%.
The grand idea was to edge ourselves towards using fewer tools and allow other aspects of the biosphere to develop then adjust our lifestyle to not just allow it but to use it as an incentive to lower our own dominance.
The obvious aims would be to cultivate land and plant crops with the minimal external input. I.e no exploitation of animals, no use of any inbound material such as compost.
There are two pressing issues I am dealing with currently, that is the 1. personal ability as a beneficiary to cultivate edible crops, which constitutes the bulk of this website and 2. my personal ability to explain and communicate my experiences to prospective beneficiaries. The later of these issues provokes this post. There are other posts that refer to individuals who indicated their desire to benefit form the ELF trust, which for those who have serious interest will become evident.
The issues of interest are those persons motives and their motivation and do they equate to anything close to those of the motives of trust and their motivation seen in manual effort. If those issues are compatible with the current point of evolution of the trust under my management then it will lead to planning development.
