I have just received a response from Cornwall Council to my emails.

Basically the council argues in favour of NetRail's use of Part 17, but I am not convinced.

I have a disturbed feeling about all this and will detail my response here is ongoing and when completed will be the contents of my response to the above.

Points are:

• Why was I repeatedly told by Cornwall Council East2 that they had no knowledge of the proposed development? Was it ineptness in that the council employee(s) didn't know how to find out the answer to my query or was it rude dismissal, in that they couldn't be bothered or didn't want me to tell me. Any which way it shows a serious lack of integrity at best and inappropriate behaviour otherwise.
• It appears the Council knew of these proposals 8 years ago and yet only over the last few months have local people, upon whom this development impinges, have been informed, not consulted as required.
