Walnut var. Buccaneer

January 17th, 2016

May 16th 2018 The 'One small twig' - below - died but a new twig has emerged from nearer the root.

May 30th 2017 One small twig survived.

July 11th 2016 Tree dying? All the leaves you can see in the image below, except the three lowest twigs, have dropped. See comments.

A series of images as I cleared the area around the walnut tree. The first issue was to fence it from the deer and secondly to clear trees around it for light.

Taken 26th May 2016

This summer, I hope to cutback any major tree within 6 metres to ground level and further kill them off to stop the roots competing.

I'm a bit concerned that some of the branches may poke through the wire fencing and be eaten.

Fruit Tree Area

January 17th, 2016

11th March 2016 Have layered soil around trees and raspberries, raised low patches in the surrounding lawn and extended the working surface south and east of the plum tree.

2013, With help from Gavin, who bought a couple, if not three trees, planted a peach, plum and two varieties of pear, one of the later gave six pears in 2015.

The peach, although flowering each year, has only managed a fruit or two that have fully grown; that was 2013 and 2105; nothing in 2014

Goji

March 11th, 2016

When Rowena left Calstock, Feb 2015, she said I could take some of her plants from the alottement: the only one I could get, I thought was the goji berry bush. A poor bedraggled thing some six inches high that looked dead.

However, whatever it was it grew some ten feet the following summer and has kept it's leaves all winter. I've made a frame for whatever it is and here it is.
