Aurora :: May 10th 2024

24th/25th June 2026

It was very warm today the 24th, reaching 38°C . It is now 00.28 of the 25th and 28°C outside, and some 31°C indoors at chest height. Just beginning to cool down but still wearing those garments I was clothed in at birth, though they have seen their days. @ 02:13 it is 30.5°C indoors. Will wait another hour before I lay myself down to try and sleep.

I noticed the last few days even breathing was a bit stressful and drinking water wasn't easy. So this location isn't idea, where is?

Cold is easier to deal with as it is easy to warm up, but the vegetation that I rely on so much grows in the warmth, so here I am beside the veggies, well not actually lying next to them, just in my wooden box nearby.

25th June 2026

Managed to sleep for 4 to 5 hours. On rising at 8:17 temp. is 28°C . Temp outdoors @ 15:40 is 35°C.

26th June 2026

Managed to sleep for 7 to 8 hours. On rising at 8:37 temp. is 25°C downstairs.

Himalayan Balsam: 2017

April 25th, 2017

General: Work covers the fields that stretch some 1.1Km along the river. Areas are labelled {1,2,3 and 4} and page numbers respectively show a map of the area and the work carried out. 2016
As of August 2017 the main work is to clear southward from the breach in Area2 along the field side of the drain.

Area 1

area1

Area 1 is partitioned as follows:
yellow Part of the top field east to the drainage channel of the lower field.
green This is the lower field, between west, south and east drainage channels.
blue The line indicates the western edge of the bund
orange Not a part of the Riverland fields but cleared as it encroaches upon it.

    Neighbours field 16
Area1 59 A surprise to find a patch in the south west corner of the field, must have seeded a year ago at least, so will use the brushcutter to clear the area and thence keep an eye on it for a few years.

Coveralls

July 5th, 2017

Changed the name from Overalls to Coveralls. (Used to be called Boilersuits)

  • July 20th 2026
All sorted. Gavin took the two 'medium' and I have a gift of the small from Portwest. Emailed Aiworkwear to say no returns etc. and thanks.
  • June 16th 2026
OK they are way to big, and called Portwest who said to contact the vendors:
    Here isthe emailI sent

Ordered two of Portwest'sC814100% cotton, made in Bangladesh. £26.20 each. Arrived on 23rd. Haven't tried one on yet.

My overalls are a bit ragged and the poppets duff, so they are not protective against bugs, small debris from vegetation and chainsaw dust etc. Being fed up with trying to find Fairtrade organic cotton ones, with zips. I bought these from

Sadly one is two are 65% polyester and I think one has teflon coating. (page 3)
Seebbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-40498292At least they won't get washed much and even then the crap will stay on the land.

Received and after some deliberation have decided to keep one of the polycotton them, would have been better just to order the cotton and wait for the light-weight option. But returning is a journey for me and a bit of extra work for others, all down to me.

Good to have zip to keep out the dust and insects. Mind you the side slots could do with zips?

Redhawk overall £26.50

Dickies Redhawk overalls
The style is fine but the colour is a bright orange, brighter than the image advertised.

100% cotton overall £48

Dickies cotton overalls
Again the colour is off, this is much richer and brighter, and the reflective strips are grey, not so white as in the image. The zips tracks are plastic.
Fuck I forgot ask where they are made, fucking China I've discovered.
