General: Work covers the fields that stretch some 1.1Km along the river. Areas are labelled {1,2,3 and 4} and page numbers respectively show a map of the area and the work carried out. 2016
As of August 2017 the main work is to clear southward from the breach in Area2 along the field side of the drain.

Area 1 is partitioned as follows: yellow Part of the top field east to the drainage channel of the lower field. green This is the lower field, between west, south and east drainage channels. blue The line indicates the western edge of the bund orange Not a part of the Riverland fields but cleared as it encroaches upon it.

For three years I haven't used the mains water and now when I want it, given this extended warmth and lack of rain, it isn't available.
First is to calculate the amount of water wanted: 3Lt per day for food and drinking.

August 18th Opening the main tap in John L's field provided some water, but no where near as much as calculated.�
August 15th Opening the main tap in the 'c' field did not provide any water, so either tap didn't work in that it was allowing water to escape or there was no water up-pipe.
August 14th Turned on 'local' tap, some 100m of pipe id≈20mm Area 314mm² ~ volume = 314 x 200,000 or 62,400,000mm³ Divide by 1,000,000 gives 62.4Lt, ✅ Will try again. Close local tap and open stopcock in 'compost' field and let that drain.

August 4th It's appears as though the major leak is in the area Craig worked on in John's filed. Mark has said he will talk to John about digging at the border to install a block to help decide if the break is in John's field or down line. Will wait till next weekend before any action is taken.

August 2nd18:25 Check meter. 104.3318 Decided to remove the stop Mark had attached and reconnect, but forgot to turn off at the meter at 104.3343. Once I did the reading was 104.6058, so again some 250Lt lost in 4 hours. 60Lt/hr or less than 1/min (See Comment 4). Anyway got distracted going home and didn't water or turn meter off.
August 2nd 13:37 Sadly mark had already turned the water on and was 104.0828 b time I got there and 104.192 at 14:21 when turned off. Mark had cut the pipe and stopped it to see if it could be determined where the leak maybe. So Turned back and leaving for some hours to see if the meter stops spinning. So the total water 'in the pipe' was 870Lt, which is over the top for 200m of pipe

July 29th Went to check how Mark is getting on with the repair. The meter read 101.5611 so some 250Lt used, probably when Mark did the second repair and tested. By time I had tested the repair under pressure, by watering the reading was 102.3360 so used some 780Lt. Then tested the leak and 12 secs for 1Lt. Final reading 102.3374.
July 29th Went to check how Mark is getting on with the repair. There is no tap yet but the connection has been updated and doesn't seem to leak. I turned the water on, watered and went back to see what the repair was like under pressure. No leak ✅Updated Repair w3w (developed.ferrying.heave)
July 19th Went with Gavin to meet Mark to talk over the break. Mark said he will replace the leaking joint with a tap at my suggestion and surround the fix with a box. etc. All really helpful.

July 18th 11:16 Mark from the Coach House just sent me a message saying he had accidentally cut through the pipe and is in the process of repairing it, so will go and turn on again to see if it is flowing to the land.
July 17th On my way 'home' Mark drove by and stopped to say hello and asked . . . I said it was coincidentally as I was thinking about asking him if anyone had recently worked on the area as I knew work was being done to install another supply.
July 17th 18:55 Fully open so water flowing somewhere. Seems there must be a serious break in the pipe that won't 'allow' any to flow between the parts, so a big break and more. ✘ Forgot to take final reading . . . . .

First use this year. Little rain over the last month, although a sprinkling today, and none foreseen for the next week. Turned supply on around 8am. Watered, immediately, filled containers and watered again late afternoon. Will leave on overnight, despite the leakage and water again in the morning.
From 54.387,81 to 56.487,92 is 2.10011 m3 used though I expect half of that is leakage. Trying to edit a video and from that see the amount of water used over 1 minute for example.
