Cornwall has issued a set of containers to control waste disposal.
A Bin for non recyclables on ever decreasing size where anything outside the bin will not be collected. Ha! more fly-tipping then | Theft of and filling other properties bins
I had all my containers 'taken' temporarily only to find 5 of the 6 returned to what was imaginatively to ELF, the missing item being the food waste bin, a small 10Lt container.
Yesterday I returned to find the 'BIN' taken from the land and with a bag of 'WASTE' in it. I removed the bad and took the 'BIN' - home and marked it.
The BIN
The markings consist of a) a watermark of almost invisible ink b) sticky labels spelling ELF with c) permanent ink around the letters and d) letters in Braille via drilled holes.
Non-recyclable BIN
The last time I left a 'bag' of rubbish was November 2023 and will now keep a diary.
Dragging a wheely-bin up 300m + stoney track is a) going to wreck it and it an added weight and pain ~ complaint lodged (Date:
Bottle Box
I have been putting out bottles for recycling maybe once every 6 weeks and occasionally more if I have someone staying for a while and drink more than a few bottles of alcoholic drinks.
This BOX has the outlying sticker from which the letters were cut from the above and Brialle in the top edge.

2024
August 28th: ¾ filled the box with bottles.
July 30th: ¾ filled the red bag (plastics, lids etc.)
June 19th: Filled the box with bottles from the last few months and some old jars and took in wheelbarrow.
Again carrying a 'large' box when previously I had just taken a small plastic bag with a few bottles is a pain
Plastic Bag
I have used two types of marker pen to write the property name and fixed a copper rivet through the mysterious black 'Velcro like' band at the top of one edge.

This new alternative to flimsy disposal bags is the least pain and does make some sense ??
OK the update is that Dave King came to see me today looking for his BIN. I explained that I took the one thinking it was there for me, when maybe the council didn't leave me any, which is supported by Dave saying he ordered a second lot of bags and left them by my 'gate'.
So I have cancelled my request for a RUBBISH bag and Dave and I will use the same BIN:
Update:
Dave King has a new set of bins and gave me the two 'food waste' bins.
As far as the 180Lt rubbish bin goes I will put mine in the one for Trekensa Gardens if there is room, else I'll leave my bin behind the hedge.
