2024
There was maybe 4 or five deformed ones. Maybe the lack of bees due to the 'rotting' weather.
November 26th
Heavy pruning as I'm not concerned if pears will arrive but more what the pruning will do, else I may as well remove the trees
2023
There were 100's of pears.
2019 Only a few pears in 2018 and not for lack of blossom. This year there is plenty of blossom but I see no bees. :(
Update 18th May Looking better. Even the far tree of the two has young fruit forming (
that's the closer of the two in the image above). Looks like there may be a few dozen on each tree with good vibes.
Far pear tree
UPDATE: 24th June 2019
All the pears are gone from the tree in image above. ???
UPDATE: 25th June 2019
Looks like the creatures are scoffing up those on the other tree :)

2015 Best year so far :: Read on
I hid them from the birds under transparent type 1 (pete) plastic bottle tops. They started falling off the tree at the beginning of September the last one being on the 16th. They don't keep; the first one having gone slightly yellow I decided to eat only to find the inside going over soft. Although sweet and tasty the skin was a bit rough and many times I spat bits out.
No pears in 2016 or 2017. Although there were hundreds of flowers in 2018 there were only two pears, which fell on 8th or 9th September
Eaten the second pear on 13th so 4 or 5 days after fall
