  • November 4th: 2 1 In the new patch and 1 in the middle of the bund, both small

  • August 6th: 6 The new patch was a little more extensive that I thought ~ must keep an eye on it and clear area of other vegetation to get better access

  • July 26th: 9 2, the largest, were on the river bank, north edge. I'm surprised also that the 'new' patch that I have planned to have a dig at, hasn't shown any subsequent growth >>

  • June 3rd: 9 In the patch on the riparian side of the bund where I cut back the brambles. It may be that the knotweed have less competion but they are easier to see and pull.

    The second patch is the one found April 23rd. I noticed three shoots and dug up the rhizome, and another pair of stems 5ft tall to the right. It may well be all from the same root system.

  • May 19th: 6 0 by the previous 'big' plant and one in the top of the bund track. All small.
  • May 9th: 7 1 by the previous 'big' plant and one some 45cm tall
  • April 25th: 5 All small
  • April 24th: 3 2 small and the second stem of the yesterday's big plant.

  • April 23rd: 13 I large one and 12 small. The large one was a metre tall and probably established itself last year from a piece of rhizome that floated down stream. See also 24th above

    • August 4th: 13 1 was at the northern edge and on the edge of the river under the trees and 3 on the top of the bund
    • July 15th: 13 From 30th June ~ a long tomorrow
    • June 30th: 8 All around the middle edging towards the riparian side of the bund. 3 small on the top and 5, over two feet amongst some brambles, so will check again tomorrow
    • June 20th: 12 All around the middle on the riparian side of the bund
    • June 3rd: 5 All around the middle on the riparian side of the bund
    • May 14th: 12 One around the middle on the riparian side of the drain
    • April 29th: 9 Six of which were on the riparian bank two to three metres north of the montbretia patch
