Japanese Knotweed 2020Updated: October 18th, 2020
Created: April 5th, 20202020
- October 18th: 8
- September 18th: 3
- September 15th: 10
- August 23rd: 10 All on the riparian side of the bund. Maybe the use of the brushcutter exposed a few bits of root to sunshine. If they had been bits of flail they wood not have such deep roots.
- July 31st: 6 Use brushcutter to clear some brambles and came across these six. May have trashed some so must keep an eye out for strays.
- July 30th: 10 9 on the riverside, two of which where 2~3 feet high in the brambles. 1 only form the drain side of the bund. So possible flotsam from Newquay
- July 12th 9 Most are from the river side of the bund so I hope it's not debris from across the river at Newquay!
- June 23rd: 1
- June 20th: 10 9 today and one a couple of days ago. I imagine with the rain following a dry period, plants are putting on a show of strength
- June 6th: 5 So that's only 11 in 33 days.

- May 18th: 0 First time I couldn't find one!
- May 4th: 6 small
- April 21st: 19 Three were either side of two feet high. None in the little patch to the west.
- April 5th: 7 Prompted by RobII, who said he had some a foot high I ventured down the marsh. The only ones were in the main patch and very small. If I had waited a bit longer pulling them would have brought up more root.
