As I was buying petrol from the Co-op at Drakewalls I notice some Jweed growing on the verge so I pulled it anf threw it into the patch aver the wall.

On my way home I decide to see if I could find the oweners and warn them of possible consequnces of not managing it.

My first stop was Drakewalls Garage and although reluctant to provide the landlords name did contact the landlord on my behalf who promptly called me.

The landlord Andie said he would spray it or pay me to pull it ~ I declined. As I was leaving the area I also spoke to Valerie at the AONB and 'took' her to view the spread which has also encroached upon other private property. In fact the encroachment produced thick stands some stems of which were probably 4" in circumference.

Once home, after hearing from 'Andie' I called Valerie to provide Andie's number, just in time as Valeria was considering notifying the local authority. Valerie subsequently spoke to Andie and confirmed he had already spoken to someone to have it 'removed'

AONB Tel no. 01822 825030
Andie's numbers are : Hidden

August 22nd: Receive and email from Valerie to say that a 7 year programme is being implemented privately to eradicate it. I'll be making efforts to ensure it cover the invasive parts in neighbour's properties./

It now seems possible, given Valerie's support to get rid of the patch on at Newquay on the Devon side of the Tamar
