Seitan from Sojade

Bought two types, the so called grilled 'steaks' and the 'rotolo spinach', neither I would buy again.
Although the later is not quite as boring, the former I shall describe as really boring to look at and tasteless.

Below are two images. The first shows the contents against the packaging. I expected a grilled steak like that shown on the package, but got that shown on the plate - lumps of indescribable disappointment.sojade seitan grilled steaks packaging

The second shows the inside which has carrots etc. ???

Hi

I writing to provide feed back on some of your products

I have been vegan for 45 years and grow most of my food. Otherwise I arrange to buy wholesale from Essential Trading, Bristol, UK.

When I'm out and about, I have on occasion bought some of your So Soya, yoghurt style products, and my complaint, to friends etc. has always been that there is too much sugar in them, some 50% more than Provamel, which I love. Secondly you whizz up the cherries etc, whereas Provamel have nice soft pieces. So I would only buy your products when Provamel are not available. I would however rather buy your products due to the beans coming from the EU and you being a smaller company.

Provamel Caramel Desert 10.0 Org
Provamel Peach & Mango 8.0 Org

What has brought me to email you is that I recently bought, wholesale, via Essential (https://www.essential-trading.coop/) your 'Grilled Seitan Steak' and the 'Rotolo'

I will focus on the steak, but you can see my comments on my site at https://calstock.org.uk/vow.php/seitan-from-sojade

The steak is so boring it was hardly edible and I can hardly bring myself to eat them and sharing them with friends was embarrassing. Try the Yakso https://shop.thevegankind.com/products/yakso-seitan-meat-substitute.

I'm sure you have plenty of satisfied customers so you are unlikely to make any significant changes but hopefully you may consider my criticisms as having some practical value.

All the best
