TRAM have sent two excellent letters to a) The Local Council and b) Secretary of State for transport.
Calstock residents may similarly write to Cornwall Council. It is also prudent to write to Eric Pickles MP, as Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.
UPDATE: 17th March
Correspondence between West Devon Council and Network Rail is now available, relevant to the link 'The Local Council' above. It's a zip file containing 6 images(pages). They are a poor, blurred quality but painfully legible. Nothing much info within them. Summary is that NR informed WDC that it intended to exploit Part 17 of the GPDO, and WD agreed that it was a proper use of legislation. ( I have to disagree )
Sutton Coldfield
The householders from Allesley Close, Earlswood Drive and Boswell Road gathered on Saturday night, with one parking a car across an access point to the railway line, preventing contractors from carrying out their work.
The residents were protesting against Network Rail's plans to site a 15 metre mast within sight of some residential properties.
The story seems to have disappeared, but the link goes to the relevant website. Most relevant report is birminghammail.co.uk/news/local-news/network-rail-accused
