Tree of Life Choc Bars

Email to info@treeoflife.co.uk

Hi

Visiting a local 'Wholefood shop' I noticed two of your products on the table ~ they have a little display. I'm not sure if it's for new products or stuff they are about to get rid of.

However if I visit the shop I buy various exotic things to keep the shop alive, given I've visited it in Tavistock for some 45 years.

The products of yours I bought are the Chai Spice and the Coconut 70 choc bars.

Here's a general gripe. Although I applaud your efforts in encouraging the 'Fairtrade' side of commerce I don't support the view that the chocolate ~ as raw, is anything special nor do I think using coconut blossom as a sweetener is anything but a gimmick. In terms of body and mind health both are a joke and in terms of environmental care and astuteness they are insulting.

Ok! so that's the good stuff, which applies to all commerce, now to your offerings.

"we hand-decorate our bars with delicious toppings"

a) the so called decoration on the coconut was dried coconut on the bottom, hmm!

b i) there was no 'topping' or bottoming on the Chai Spice

b ii) The chai spice is like going to the dentist, there is so much clove, it went on the compost heap, with the wrapper you commend.

All in all a very unpleasant experience.

I won't post this on twitter, as you would so 'love to hear' as I don't use social media and put insidious further demands on earth's resources. On the face of it you present yourselves as some caring sort of business.

I operate a small wholefood distribution in Cornwall, have been vegan for 45 years, grow most of my food, drink rain water and burn wood for cooking and heating.

I have no desire to save the planet or anything hereon. I am concerned, as no doubt you are, about the arguments that flow from the ever increasing consumption by so called homo sapiens. It is a matter of will to ease off all consumption and make space to develop an awareness of the soul, something that is not to bought, sold, promoted or discussed.

If you would answer this email, a blank page of acknowledgement would be appreciated as I would rather not have to respond to your responses, and will definitely be avoiding the aforementioned chocolate bars. Yuk!

Oh! and I hope you have seen the '10 sephiroth' version of the Tree of Life with the three veils of the negative space wherein all forms of distraction and persuasion dwell.
