They did literally just fall out. When I pulled on the bristles, very lightly even more came out of the 320S 320S
I have tried to salvage the small 50mm brush. It's similar to the 'tar brush'.
At this point 5 sets of bristles had fallen out, although there look like six the middle one is a hole for a handle.
Two days ago a poured some dregs of tar-oil of the bristles thinking it would expand the wood a bit and help hold the bristles in and as the oil dried it would act as an adhesive.
Toady May 31st. I used that hole to screw through to piece of wood. I intended using it to tar-oil the top of the wagon. It's a runny liquid of Stockholm tar, linseed oil and real turpentine.
Within a minute of 'painting' another set fell out, then another, then another. I stopped, took pictures, made this account and I have to go back up and remove the fibres.
Here's some images. Handle with 8 missing tufts Oiling wagon top
Related is that in screwing the brush to the handle I badly skewered my thumb with the screwdriver which aprt from being filthy so were my hands, so will see how that turns out over the next few days and week . . .
So here are some picture
The other two seem fine. Clearly I didn't pull on the fibre much.
The two that are OK are a hand brush and a tar brush: Images to follow.
Many decades ago, I hate to say centuries, most brushes were made of vegetable matter, (some had animal fibres) and the manufactures were experts in their trade.
Now with plastic being the 'norm' those skills are lost so it is not surprising that there are duff products. However that I should get so many is down to me asking for so many 'freaky', currently 'unnatural' requests..
Thank you for your email and my apologies there has been issues with this product.
I have forwarded this onto our quality team to review, once I have an update, I will be in touch.
