Tree Felling 2020 - 2022Updated: January 27th, 2026
Created: April 17th, 2020!Over the last 28 years trees have been felled for five major reasons; this is an ongoing process. See tree-feeling-2019-2008 for earlier work
- Type A: Dying ash
- Type B: Along the bund and it's immediate edges to stop large trees from falling and damaging the bund and others towards the river to delay erosion.
- Type K: Clearing tree near Kerensa Gardens for damage limitation and light for their property.
- Type L: Around the vegetable growing area, mostly for extra light.
- Type T: Along the main access track for general safety and maintenance. Oct 2022

October 26th [T] Removed two small 100mm and 160mm trees leaning over the track at 45° or less from the Townsend's land.
Dave King had already mentioned a large rotten trunk that was cause for thought and it was whilst in the process of plans to remove that I decided the two small ones above could go at the same time. However it was difficult to remove the large trunk without substantial footing on Ken&Joe's land so mentioned to Ken my plan and Ken said it would be better if he did it :)
October 8th After taking down a few branches today the tree was felled.
March 21st L Trees to the east of the main growing area, to stop roots expanding and to allow more light.
