Allocated and AccountedUpdated: August 19th, 2013
Created: May 31st, 2012Allocated refers to land that is being used by someone. Beneficiaries by definition will have land allocated.
Accounted refers to land for which someone has bought and is available for allocation to purchaser or their appointees to use.
Land may not have been accounted for by the beneficiary. It may be that an accountee has appointed the beneficiary or the beneficiary may be otherwise required to account for the land themselves at some point by paying the current cost of 'the acre'.
Currently there are three allocations for Gavin, Vera and myself (Roger) - see map (to be created later). Whereas the allocations are ongoing for Vera and me, Gavin's is a first start and likely temporary allocation. Gavin has stated he intends to invest the value of his property, on sale to the trust. This will effectively create an extended trust for approximately 3.2 acres.
Purchasers of land or donators of funds are likely to be trustees, and beneficiaries. It is inconsistent to have someone either be a beneficiary if they have funds but do not donate to the trust or donate and not benefit. In the second case I have no desire to manage land for others and I consider it overbearing and class structuring for someone to expect another to look after land on their behalf. If they can't be bothered then neither will the trust. It may happen as matter of course after the event but cannot be a predetermined proposal.
