UPDATE 4th August ~ 10:30 Spoke to cust services at Axminster Tools and they had no problem offering to refunding the cost of the file card.

I buy quite a few things from Axminster Tools, a) there aren't many vendors b) they are in the south west and c) a fair number of tools come from Taiwan, which I like to support.

However this post is to show how bad some things can be.

I bought a number of 'quality' Vallorbe Swiss files, so I thought I'd buy a file brush as my old one was ready for the bin, having had it for ten years of more. But the one I bought is a bit of a joke.

Here's Axminster's shpiel:
The card has a fine gauge wire face fixed onto a strong backing and attached to a wood block making it easy to hold and use.

Well as far as the shpiel goes the brush is not attached to the 'thin wooden handle' hardly a block.

Here's what I received:

a) Proper cleaning helps to prolong the life of a life
b) Use the brush side for general cleaning and the card side for stubbom clogging.
c) The sharp tempered steel bristles of the card side are angled forward

a) life of a life ???
b) above there is only one side ???
c) nope they are angle backwards ???
