August 2022 Cutting back bamboo from west side of the caravan.
I removed the old bowsprit pole and surrounding items.

18th Sept 2022 Stopping the removal for a while.

29th Oct 2022 Saw what looked like a 'piece' of grass - a shoot of bamboo. I thought it may be from a bit of root I left in the piles of soil but it was from an underground root.

4th Nov 2022 Found another two feet of root.

The picture below is from two years ago. The bamboo had spread a yard further and out to the support under the bowsprit, bottom left of the image.

April 25th 2020 I started to cut back the bamboo at the end of the caravan by the workshop. Ostensibly to give more light to, what I think is, a quince sapling of a few years. I had also found the bamboo impinging on access bewteen the caravan and workshop, so I ended up cutting it all down.

Then on the 26th I used the brushcutter to shred the remaining stubs.

Today the 28th I I hacked out the remaing parts of the stubs and roots..
