Fig and Tree ~> 2023Updated: April 23rd, 2024

October 16th Had two or three figs each day for the last week and more with maybe a dozen in line for ripening. Early in the month I had cut back most of the longer reaching branches so as not to overwhelm or damage the greenhouse and wonder if that will force more energy into fruit ripening.
October 26th Had the last three figs today as the frost is about to arrive tonight for a week. I wasn't sure they were quite ripe, well two of the moreso, as they were not very soft, hanging down or a bit brown, but those two were the sweeter??

2020 I cut back branches twice this year to allow work in the greenhouse. The greenhouse really needs to be moved?? Lots of figs. August 8th On average I've had a couple a day for well over a week.

2022 July 18th 2 figs today :) October 16th There are a lot of unripe figs 4 were edible today October 30th Still getting a few a day Nov 29th With the warm November figs every day. But they are not so sweet and slower to ripe and with a possibility of frost I've chopped all but tomorrows breakfast with apple to make a crumble. Dec 17th There has been a few days of frost and most of the unripe figs have fallen so I am using them in what is probably the last apple crumble flapjack.
