Motives and MotivationUpdated: July 11th, 2020
Created: July 11th, 2020As in the words life and live the words motive and motivation are not necessarily relate in their use. In this instance I am using the word 'motive' as to the reason behind a persons action, whereas motivation is dependent upon the result of actions in regarding to the management of land.
Motivation used in the sense of inner stamina is relevant to both in that it leads form one to the other.
A persons motive, is for me a deciding factor when I see little or no activity that could be valued as consumer awareness and in this situation destructive reduction. Being vegan may be an indication of motivation but what motive lies behind being vegan.
My concern or focus is on the comparable directions of inner dependence and outer dependence. Being a bush craft adept or even zealot does show motivation, but not motive. if the motive is to survive then the motivated act is how to exploit the environment in a more basic way and hence find solace in the individuals ability to survive. Busking is a street wise craft, free-loading from society as travellers is likewise a craft of survival, but was is the motive.
A person's survival is dominant and so it is arguable that each of us have the same motive, but what is it that each of us sees as the I, the ego, me, the animal, the conciousness., the spirit. My argument is around this identity and that the soul does not require any support even from the likes of conciousness or spirit, but then could the soul ever be a motive. Well no as not not does the soul require support it cannot be used to support a motive. The motive is about identity preservation the soul is eternal with no need to identify.
My motive is intellectual, born of Logic which in turn comes from Grace. Semantically Logic is the Message of God and can only be received by grace. It's use is the tool that enables motive and motivation. I use capitals to denote there is one of each of those conceptual entities, and the use of the word God does not infer some intelligent designer, though there are such.
So motive is an intellectual development born of a persons use of Logic. Each person will have their own spin of what direction they find themselves and will use the tools they have to maintain their desire and will motivate their body and modify their surroundings accordingly.
Where it is clear the environment cannot be manipulated to a persons design, then the option is to reconsider the plan and go back to the intellectual reasoning and look at what motive or motives have taken one to an insurmountable object.
The green revolution of the 21st century that focuses on environment impact is not the same as the green revolution of agricultural that provides the basic of the food most people depend upon daily. Neither revolution are sustainable in their present condition and are unlikely to ever be so.
So each person who comes across this consumer obstacle has motive to design or find an alternative, by Logic or Grace respectively.
