Making of bread. The reason for the bread is that I only eat lettuce with bread usually a whole lettuce with a couple of slices of home made sourdough bread. This is for the late spring early summer as lettuce is the first crop to pick.
In the first I am mixing bought spelt flour with home grown and ground maize flour. I plan to grown enough wheat but haven't done so for some years.
Vegetable supper. This is a mix of pressure cooked large dried runner beans from 2020 that were soaked overnight with a small amount of carrot, beetroot and onion. After nine minutes beetroot tops, fresh peas, broad beans, oregano and basil are added with canola oil and cooked for another three minutes.
Once cooked it will accompany cold rice from yesterday with raw (grated carrot and beetroot, and chopped basil and more beetroot leaves)
