Pear Crops 2020 ~ 2023
May 28th, 20202023
October 10th: It seems the second tree has stony pit virus

August 4th: Both trees are laden
September 11th
There may have been 200 on the above tree but probably 100 went to the compost. They ripen quickly when it's their time and I can't use them all for food.
September 11th
Nor eady yet
2022
Was looking OK but today 8th June; 8th July there is not a single pear on either tree ??
2021
Quite a number of pears on the tree with bottles, one on the other? Picked one today 30th August to keep and see if it ripens.
Worked out not too bad. Had a few dozen from the 'closer' tree and a few from the 'further'
2020
Although there was a lot of blossom I think the late frost in May may have stopped viable pollination and growth of the young pears.
Now the squirrels are out to get the few that are growing so I have placed a bucket around the trunk of one tree and covered a few pears will plastic bottles.
30th August Ate one that looked a bit more yellow (top right) but it had a few brown hared spots in it It seemed ripe and from previous years the pears can go over-ripe very quickly.
