Individuals have a scope or area they exploit. Trees may be dominate in area but do not actively go out of their way to dominate.

Animals may mark out a territory which they control by violence to anything that threatens to deprecate the assets that the single or group of animals claim. Given the type of body animals have through evolution the type of territory they want is selective and may coincide or overlap with benign or competitive species.

One thing for sure is the highly intelligent homo sapien species has an ability to cooperate so effectively that just about any area where there is sufficient water they will become not just the dominate species but use extreme force and violence to maintain their domain.

It is the nature still that even in a group of co-operating individuals that there will be a hierarchy, and it is the structure that decides how this community of people treat those deemed to be outside the community. This applies to any sub group like a family, or just a couple.

The community can be an artificial built community to a 'design' or a humane acceptance of the community an individual finds themself within.

As a very young child, baby, the person is in a small community which may only be one parent that breastfeeds. That parent however requires sufficient community co-operation to provide their food and other comforts. As the child grows it will search out and learn how best to obtain it's consumables. This may be a simple agricultural lifestyle or one based upon money and power to get others to provide the items.

In the 'first' world 99.999% are bound tightly to the use of money, with maybe some 10% having some autonomy over food and fuel crops.

It is to this latter 10% wherein individuals may try and artificially create a rural community and maybe even 'vegan'. What a vegan community is or what 'vegan' would mean is a later investigation, but let it be of concern that any artificial community will lie heavily on doctrines, much like a religion and herein lies the issue. This is not a community where people share their days and feelings but a group working together for an ideal.

So maybe the terms would be best used as 'community' where people care for each other, or 'co-operative' where people care for an idea.

Still even in a 'registered' coop the rules are that everyone has an equal share in the decisions, work and assets.

In a community there is no requirement to share by law, but only by common sense and yes laws will follow. But here is a great difference. In a community laws develop and are enshrined where individuals are not bound to the community. In a coop the rules are predetermined and upon leaving an individual can take what assets they have acquired from the coop

Communities develop over many years and generations, a coop can be made in a day.
