July:

• 1st: Started bottom part (the slopping part down to the drainage ditch) of Site 1 from approx. midway north.
• 6th - 9th(inc): Continuing southward
• 10th: Reached southern boundary, found a few on the upper level. Will leave for a week or two and work on the northern half.
  
  Last year most of Site 1 was slashed due to the density of plants. Having started earlier I've only pulled them out so far. I am aware that there may be lots of smaller ones hidden under the bracken. Will 'see what tomorrow brings'.
• 14th - 16th(inc): Cleared Northern half.
• 19th: Pulled most of Site3, but slashed an area due to density. Much improved over last year.
• 27th: Went over Site 3 again
• 27th: Sorted most of Site 6 by slashing. The top and riverside of the bund were fairly clear. This year, for the first time, I have cleared to the edge of the drainage area. So next year I hope to see a big improvement.
• 28th: Finished first sweep of Site 6
• 31st: Finished first sweep of an extended Site 4.
