Trees Behind Caravan 2021

On the image below you can see the stick of ash protruding over the track. I used 7m of ladder resting on the wall. I was standing on the top of the ladder so some 10m head height but I used a climbing harness to hold me to the tree. It's the first time I've used the harness and it makes a lot of difference. 1 I felt safe for the first time for the best part of a decade or more and 2 it gave me more options to position myself :)
7th, 8th, 9th & 10th Jan
Cut a large pieces of ash, hazel and hornbeam.
4th Jan 2021
Roped top of next ash to be topped to another tree to help guide it's fall.
31st Dec
Cut a single main branch that would become the bole of a previously felled main trunk of ash.
17th Dec
Cut a few branches of a hornbeam overhanging the entrance to the field.
16th Dec
Cut small ash to make room for next to the west.
FTTP > Track Access Box
July 16th, 2020June 7th: The ducting of for FTTP (Fibre To The Premises) has been incorporated with an access box in the track that hacks in to the BT (Open Reach) telephone conduit. There is then a narrower plastic pipe under the boundary wall to the back of the workshop.
June 8th: I've fitted analuminium pipeover the plastic conduit to help protect it from damage, especially that of any strimmer or brush cutter work.
Thin wood was laid to cover the cast iron lid, so will have to wait a year to see how it fares over the dry periods.
